Before starting a recruiting career, I spent 30 years in operations and sales of Institutional Food Service for Colleges, Universities, Healthcare, Title Three, Vending, and Correctional facilities. I have owned and operated successful restaurants in the US Virgin Islands and in the Western United States. My extensive background and knowledge in the food industry, along with my passion and enthusiasm continues to be the foundation for the successful team at Martin & Associates.

I have over 25 years experience in the financial services industry implementing investment solutions for clients by employing my extensive knowledge of financial products and securities. Originally from Southern Illinois, my background starts in the grocery industry. I began managing grocery stores right out college. In 1988, I was recruited into the QSR restaurant management field with a Taco Bell franchise in North Carolina. Eventually, my career transitioned to Bojangle’s Famous Chicken and Biscuits where I served as a GM and moved forward as a Field Training Director. Time and experience opened up a door for me to join Roadhouse Grill. This concept brought my family to Atlanta.
Since then, I have managed multi-unit food courts with MSE Branded Food Systems and FoodBrand LLC, overseeing mainstream concepts such as Sbarro's, Burger King, Starbucks, Johnny Rockets. Ray Martin invited me to join the team at Martin & Associates Restaurant Management Consulting in 2003, with over 20 years of restaurant management experience. Joining Martin and Associates as a restaurant management recruiter has allowed me to pursue my passion to help people who are serious about the restaurant business move their career forward. The greatest reward for me is a sincere “thank you” from a manager whose career we have helped move from just a job to a genuine opportunity to grow. I've been recruiting for almost 4 years now, following 12 years managing restaurants. I spent 9 years with a Pizza Hut Franchisee in Northern NY and in the North Georgia Mountains. I then joined CiCi's Pizza, where I was a District Manager over 8 franchise locations in the North Atlanta market. Recruiting has become a passion of mine since it enables me to help people every day. I definitely feel like I've accomplished something at the end of every day. Some of my areas of expertise include: opening new restaurants, restaurant re-models, new product rollouts, training and development of other managers, and resume building.

I have been a restaurant management recruiter with Martin and Associates for 3 years now. I graduated from Oklahoma State University, where I taught restaurant management classes for 2 years. I also have 5 years of restaurant management experience with Taco Mayo, Applebee’s and a couple of independents. Restaurant management recruiting has been a great fit for me. Patrick Hallisy has prior experience in the sales, marketing and recruiting industries. Out of college Patrick worked for a major Medical equipment company located in Atlanta and made an immediate impact on their sales and profitability. These awesome business development experiences lead to an exciting opportunity in recruiting. After five years of restaurant recruiting Patrick joined Restaurant Depot’s sales team. In 2009 he decided his passion was in recruiting and joined Martin and Associate.
